Hansen, Hunter & Company works extensively with clients and their tax planning needs. In providing these services we frequently find they are an integral part of good long term financial planning. We find more and more situations where it is essential to coordinate tax and financial planning services. In response to this need, we established a financial planning and investment advisory group within our practice in 2002. This group includes four members of our firm who achieved the professional credential of Licensed Investment Advisor. This requires successful completion of the SEC Series 65 examination and licensing with the State of Oregon Securities Division. To evaluate your need for these services we pose the following questions which may indicate a need for financial planning services:

• Are you currently saving for retirement? Will this meet your goals for retirement income?

• Do you have a financial plan?

• Have you reviewed the performance of your investment portfolio in the last year?

• Do you have a will? Is it current?

• Do you have an estate plan? Is it current?

• Do you have a plan for funding your children's or grandchildren's college education?

• Do you have a business succession plan in place? Has it been reviewed in the last year?
