MedPAC Staff Offers Recommendation for no SNF Update in FY 2007 December 12, 2005 December 8th, 2005, the MedPAC commissioners received the staff recommendations relative to FY 2007 market basket updates for SNFs, IRFs, and LTCHs among others. At their January 10 and 11, 2006 meeting the commissioners will vote on the staff recommendations. Unfortunately, the staff's analysis was very narrow in its view when looking at their criteria to determine if payments are adequate. Immediately following the MedPAC staff's recommendation, AHCA and The Alliance went voiced their opposition.
