Amended Production Dates for the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement (PS&R) Report and Extension of Due Date for Filing Provider Cost Reports

On December 27, 2001, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a Program Memorandum^* (Transmittal A-01-149, Change Request 2012)  regarding the Amended Production Dates for the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement (PS&R) Report and Extension of Due Date for Filing Provider Cost Reports.^*  

The due date for providers using the free software to file SNF cost reports with fiscal years ending February 2001 through July 2001 was not included in this Program Memorandum.  CMS recently informed us that the due date for filing these cost reports is January 31, 2002.  If another software vendors were used, the due date was December 31, 2001.
