MedPAC Advises Freeze on SNF Medicare Rates

The Medicare Payment Advisory Committee (MedPAC) recommended a freeze on reimbursements to SNFs for FY 2010, stating it would not affect Medicare beneficiaries’ access to services or residency at facilities.

MedPAC also cut reimbursements to home health agencies by 5.5%, and increase reimbursements to long-term care hospitals by 1.6%.
