Clinical Consultant | Registered Nurse
Gina has been a Registered Nurse with over twenty-five years of experience working in both long-term care and hospital environments. She has worked in the fields of adult Medical Surgical – Oncology, inpatient acute care and long-term care settings. In partnership with a hospital in the Southern California area, Gina assisted in the creation and launch of a stroke program for local long-term care facilities. She has worked in a management capacity for more than eight years in a long-term care setting as a Director of Nursing Services. As a Director of Nursing Services, she has mentored and educated nursing teams to ensure the highest quality of care was provided to patients and industry standards related to documentation were met.
Gina is a talented and valued member of the Hansen Hunter & Co. P.C. clinical consultant team. Her current responsibilities extend to a variety of areas including clinical Medicare Part A compliance and reimbursement audits as well as specialty QASP audits in California. Gina provides Director Nursing training, mentorship, education and daily clinical support for clients. She also leads education and training on survey issues as well as the mock survey team.
