Reimbursement Services | Division Shareholder
DeDe has provided senior housing and long-term care owners and operators financial, consulting and reimbursement services throughout her entire professional career. She currently leads Hansen Hunter & Co. P.C.’s Synergy Division. The Synergy team provides back-office accounting services, resident billing and collections, multi-state change of ownership licensure application work, multi-state Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement services, rate analyses, compliance reporting, and assistance with multiple software integrations/transitions. She collaborates with clients to assist in finding solutions that are tailored to their specific needs, bringing in her other contacts in the industry when needed.
DeDe attended Georgia Southwestern State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting. Upon graduation, DeDe joined a regional accounting firm and quickly worked her way up to Shareholder. In August 2017, she created Synergy Healthcare Resources LLC and in April 2019 merged it into Hansen Hunter & Co. P.C. Throughout this time, she built (and continues to build) strong relationships not only with clients, but also with lenders, vendors, individuals within state and national healthcare associations, and other consultants in the long-term care community.
DeDe is highly recognized and regarded in the long-term care community. Her passion is working with people, leveraging her years of experience and extensive knowledge to assist them navigate the ever-evolving financial healthcare sector with a desire to help them become successful. She understands the importance of providing training on clinical issues, Medicare programs, the nuances of each state’s Medicaid reimbursement programs and how each of these have an impact on the financial viability of an organization. For this reason, DeDe has been and continues to be an active member of multiple national and state health care associations, where she participates in both the Legislative and Reimbursement Committees.
